Welcome to the journey!

As a mom, you plan to provide for your child in every way possible. Keeping up with school work, with social engagements, feeding them a healthy diet, being the cool mom who buys the cool gadgets. We put so much into raising our kids that sometimes we lose ourselves in the process and struggle to put our priorities first. I mean, we were our own individuals before we became a mom, which doesn't mean that you should stop being you in order to take care of your family.

The Proverbs 31:30 woman

Who was the Proverbs 31 woman? Is she just a great example of who a mother and wife, or is she something more? The Proverbs 31 woman (as she’s namely called, since she is not actually named in the Bible) is a woman of God, a business woman, a wife, and a mother. In my interpretation of her, she was a well-cared for and loved-on daughter, who served her family and probably her community. I imagine that this woman’s story is very similar to a modern society woman. Through her faith and upbringing, she learned to care for her family and learned the business of making and selling goods early in her life to support her family. She saw the value of work, but knew that her gifts in business were always meant to serve her community and family. She’s a busy woman with a fulfilled life and is living out her passion and purpose.

I’m sure this woman had some struggles keeping it all together, however she knows that she has a higher calling. This woman is thriving in who she is and not letting the priorities of life stop her. She doesn't let having passions and a purpose to pursue stop her from being a great mother and wife. She teaches us that we shouldn’t stop dreaming, we shouldn’t stop having passions, we shouldn’t stop wanting to be who we were meant to be.

Honoring the woman within

We get so caught up in who society tells us that we should be. There is a way that we can focus on who we want to be, yet have the family and the dreams and the passions at the same time.

Yes, our priorities do shift, and yes, we do have additional responsibilities added to our unique to-do lists. But be sure to leave space for the woman that you are becoming to flourish.

Be sure to leave her some time leftover at the end of the day to reach your goals.

Make sure that she is filled up.

Allow your creativity and energy to flourish into the other priorities in your life.

Speak life into this woman, as you pour in love and affection, just as you do for the others in your life.

I’d love to guide you on this journey. I love speaking life and encouragement into women, whether they ask me to or not!

It’s not to say that they all need encouragement because they are close to not finishing. Not at all!

Just having a simple word in our ear that says, “Yes, I see you thriving, surviving, reaching your goals and your accomplishments are noticed” is a powerful thing!

Especially among us women.

Or maybe you feel that you are an encourager too, and you love encouraging other moms to reach their goals. This space is for anyone who feels that they can get use out of it.

Welcome to the journey!
