I’ve spent a lot of time on my journey wishing that I were somewhere else, or thay I had a different story. But what I’ve come to learn is that I’m right where I need to be.
I needed to be placed here.
I need this viewpoint of life so that God can show me where He needs to work on me.
And ultimately how I’m going to work on myself.
I needed to learn this level of boundaries, this level of self love, self respect, learning to love and truly care for another person, and this level of my mothering journey.
What Ive come to learn is that God doesn’t want to give me all the answers all at once. He wanted me to discover who I am through discovering who He is first. Before, I would have never understood that. Though I’ve listened to the signs and followed His guidance. I didn’t really understand where the guidenece was taking me,
Only that I knew I had to follow it. And I’ve come to discover so much by doing so. I’ve discovered what my passions are and what drives me. I’ve learned to love all of my flaws. I’ve learned that when people leave my life, that it’s probably for a reason that I don’t understand yet. I can’t be a part of everyone’s journey, and it’s been hard to learn that. But most importantly, I have come to learn the importance of mental wellness, and that wellness looks different for each of us.
I’m not afraid any longer. I’m braver and more confident about my boundaries and secure in who I am. So I’ve said all of that to say, wellness isn’t something that I’ve just stumbled upon, but I’ve discovered different parts of myself that I didn’t know existed. Simply by listening to my spirit and my body.
4 important aspects of wellness
I've discovered that at the heart wellness lies these 4 aspects. They lay the foundational groundwork of skills that we need to build up our mental wellness capacity.
-Intentional time
-Boundaries/limits
-Self awareness aka self care
-Sharing and openness aka therapy
In future blog posts, I'll break down each of these aspects as I've come to incorporate them into my life and how they are related to the journey of wellness.
But what I will leave you with is mindset. Your thoughts control your actions and everything else that comes from that. We have to get ahold of our thoughts in order to have any sense of control. Your mindset is what gets you through any situation. So in all of these aspects, we'll be talking about the importance of a healthy mindset and getting control of your thoughts.
